Ever wonder how Apple decides which apps to feature on their App Store? Read this…Jeremy Olsen, Lead Designer at Tapity, writing about their team’s experience and success developing and launching their new app Hours. Not only does Jeremy give us a behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to successfully market an app these days but also because of his willingness to share “the good stuff” that other developers probably wouldn’t.
While I can’t cover the design in this article, I do want to note that at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how much marketing you do if you don’t get the product itself right.
And later in the article:
That takes a lot of hard work, getting out of your comfort zone, and thinking about their needs before your own.
So true. If you want success, you must be willing to be uncomfortable. As Peter McWilliams once said:
Be comfortable being uncomfortable. It may get tough, but it’s a small price to pay for living a dream.
